PAST NEWS
* Fifth SoCal student travels with UWP Cast B’08
Nathan Alfred, a recent graduate of Blair High School in Pasadena, became the fifth student to travel with UWP. Cast B 2008 toured several states - including Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota/Minnesota/Wisconsin, and Illinois. Internationally his cast went to both Mexico and the Philippines. Nathan's tour concluded Nov 16, 2008.

* Third and fourth SoCal students travels together in Cast A’08
Kelsey O'Keeffe and Nicole Taylor concluded their tour with Cast A 2008 on June 16, 2008. The two Blair High School students toured together to Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. The international part of their tour took them to Mexico and Thailand. Their cast was comprised of 110 cast members and staff from far off places as Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Bermuda, Bulgaria, Thailand, Mongolia, Namibia, and Ethiopia.

* Second student SoCal travels with UWP SoCal Alumni Scholarship award
Tyrell Norwood, a student from Blair High School, is the second person to receive a partial scholarship from the funds raised at the "Time is Now" benefit concert. Tyrell is in Cast B 2007 and will travel to several states [Including San Diego Aug 20-25!], Europe and the Philippines.

* First UWP SoCal Alumni Scholarship awarded
Thanks to the money raised from the “Time is Now” benefit concert, we were able to send our first student on the road. We are proud to announce that the UWP SoCal Alumni chapter awarded Ryan Mahome, a partial scholarship to travel in Cast A-2007. On Sat. December 30th, twelve cast members gathered at Theresa Parra King’s (88C) house to give Ryan a warm UWP send-off. Ryan's tour went to several states, Europe and Thailand. Ryan came back from his journey June 11, 2007.
